Part 2

Projects

The company has so far embarked on three main Photovoltaic solar farm projects:

658 kw on San Niklaw reservoir (Qrendi)
610 kw on Ta Cenc reservoirs 1,2 and 3 (Gozo)
677 kw on Ta Cenc no 4 reservoir (Gozo)

The projects have seen a total of five different renewable energy operators investing and actively participating
in these projects for the next 20 years, making their businesses and the jobs of their employees more stable.

1

Initial works in Qrendi.

After alignment, the aluminium structures are fixed to the roof by special epoxy to ensure no damage or seeping as caused.

2

Inverter installation at Qrendi.

Inverters convert electricity generated by the panels from DC to AC, regulate the voltage and synchronise the electricity with that on the grid.

3

Qrendi up and running!

The Qrendi reservoir was the first one to be put online, generating an average of 2.8MW of clean electricity per day.

4

Ta Cenc 4 (Gozo)

Ta Cenc 4 is the largest of our projects. It generates 1,083,200 kW annually.

5

Ta Cenc 4 (Gozo)

The roof of the polishing plant at Ta Cenc 4 is also well utilised to produce clean energy.
